All students in St Colman’s College study the eight Core Subjects and a Modern Foreign Language (French or German) for the Junior Cycle. (Only students with Department of Education exemptions or exempt from study all these subjects.)
1st Year students do a Taster Programme for their option subjects. Students will experience each of the following for a three week period at the beginning of the school year. The Subjects Tasted are,Taster Programme Subjects
Students will then preference vote on their preferred two options to be studied for the duration of Junior Cycle. Students are also offered a number of extra-curricular and co-curricular as part of the Junior Cycle.
